InflatPro / Technical Reference
A working library for material records and the project-specific inputs used to assess a custom inflatable installation.
01 / Materials
Technical textile record.
A reference record for early material review. Confirm the final material selection against the approved project specification before production.
| Parameter | Value | Test standard |
|---|---|---|
| Weight | 480 g/m² | ISO 2286-2 |
| Tensile strength | 2800 / 2600 N/5cm | ISO 1421 |
| Translucency | 42% | Measured at 550nm |
Values shown here are the published V-01 reference record. Final material approval belongs to the project specification.
Material review
Fabric selection
What it is
Fabric selection starts with the role the form needs to play in the campaign, then considers how its surface, finish, handling, and installation setting affect that choice.
It is an early review tool rather than a final project specification. The final material choice belongs to the confirmed project context.
What we need to confirm
- The intended installation setting and expected audience contact.
- Whether the surface needs to carry artwork, illumination, or a particular finish.
- Access, handling, and packing constraints for the planned deployment.
- Any material requirements the venue or project team needs reviewed.
Surface planning
Printing & artwork fit
What it is
Artwork fit translates a flat campaign layout into the visible areas of a three-dimensional form. The review helps establish what needs to read first, where panels and seams sit, and which viewing sides matter most.
It does not replace the project artwork approval process; it gives that process the physical context it needs.
What we need to confirm
- The primary viewing side, audience distance, and camera viewpoints.
- The hierarchy of messages, marks, and supporting visual detail.
- Current artwork status and the files available for review.
- Panel boundaries, curves, and areas that need a coordinated visual treatment.
Form resolution
Seams & structural details
What it is
Seam placement is part of how a form resolves visually and structurally. It is reviewed alongside the silhouette, panel layout, transitions, and the surfaces that carry the campaign message.
The aim is to identify decisions that need to be coordinated before a form is finalised, not to publish a generic construction outcome.
What we need to confirm
- Which views need the cleanest visual read.
- How curves, transitions, and joins support the intended silhouette.
- Where artwork, illumination, or handling points intersect with panel layout.
- Any project-specific access or installation considerations that affect the form.
